Portland Franklin

| The Portland Franklin is a perfect stove for watching a roaring fire. The large open hearth allows for a good sized fire. Decorative columns frame the open stove and are topped off with brass rosettes. Three brass medallions adorn the top front of the Portland Franklin. A beautiful sunscape design is crafted on both of the inside walls of the stove. With or without a roaring fire, the Portland is an impressive Franklin stove.

| The Franklin Stove not only is a perfect altnerative to a fireplace, but the clean, straight lines, classic hearth and lovely design work on the top front are all design elements inspired by a fireplace that would have been found in a parlor room. Crafted in the mid 1800's this Franklin stove's architectural elements were influenced by the style of that time, including the lion's claw feet. The arched opening mimics the curve on the hearth. There is a removable cooklid on top. A nice creative touch is the beautiful filigree that frames a cameo on the front. A lovely vintage stove from a by-gone era.

| This Portland Franklin is the smallest of the three Portland Franklins in the Good Time Stove Company showroom. The detailing in the relief work is striking. The two columns that frame the fireplace feature a Greek architectual motif. Look closely at the top corners of the open fireplace to see two exquistively crafted cast iron pieces in each corner resting below the two brass camoes. Lovely relief work is also featured on the inside walls in the fireplace. A removable cooklid rests on top of the stove. The lion's claw feet add a nice touch. A lovely stove to enjoy an open fire by.

| Bi-folding doors on a Franklin Stove are a rare feature. With the front doors closed, the Portland Franklin appears to blend right in in a Mahogany wood paneled den. | The Model #2, manufactured by the Weeks and Company in Boston Massachusetts, is an amazing combination of Parlor stove design and Franklin stove function. The antique solid cast iron heating stove features cut out designs on both sides of the stove beautifully framing the front. A lovely front plate can be removed to view the fire. The name of the stove is crafted in an oval emblem on the front. A removable ash clean out area is located on the extended hearth and a cooklid is hidden on top. A draft control door provides an efficient control of the heat output. A footrest on the hearth is an inviting place to relax and enjoy a warm fire as well as the exquisite design details on this stunning antique heating stove.

was a popular motif back in the mid-1800's. The entire body of the stove is
covered with gorgeous relief work, while the hearth and legs are smooth and
